The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
